Our group wants to purchase the coffee in bulk and sell in person. Is there a cost savings?

YES! Several of our groups enjoy selling the coffee in person and like the cost savings. To help defray upfront costs, we deduct the $4 fundraising commission from each bag of coffee.  We also offer a discounted shipping fee with each bulk order. You sell the coffee in person and keep the difference. This option is available on-line on our ordering page. Please note:  Your group will not receive the $4.00 fundraising commission for coffee purchased in Bulk Orders.  For questions, or to arrange for other payment options, contact us at: stephanie@tortugacoffee.com

How much money can my organization make? As much as you want. The opportunities for raising vital funds for your group are inviting. For example: if 100 families, businesses or supporters of your group ordered just 2 bags of coffee each per month, your group would raise $9,600.00 annually! With a $4 profit from every bag sold for your benefit, your earning potential is quite large.

Does my group have to be a non-profit or 501c3 to qualify for a Tortuga Coffee Fundraiser? No.

What does the Foundation Do? The EcoTeach Foundation supports Costa Ricans committed to the conservation of endangered species and responsible resource management. The Foundation supports a wide variety of locally managed environmental conservation and indigenous welfare projects in Costa Rica, including animal rehabilitation, butterfly farming, and assistance to the BriBri Indians of the Talamanca mountains. Today, their primary focus is on vital sea turtle conservation efforts and community reforestation projects that protect the macaws in Costa Rica.

Where does the coffee come from? Our organic, fair-trade certified coffee and cocoa powder comes from Sol Colibri Coffee - a collaborative of organic farmers in Costa Rica. Sol Colibri Coffee represents small farmers throughout Costa Rica that are committed to the environment, their community and their customers. Enjoy the delights of their hand-crafted labor of love.

I want to go to Costa Rica to work with the Foundation's turtle restoration. Where do I start? EcoTeach works closely with the Foundation to provide necessary support and manpower for their projects. They can be reached at: www.ecoteach.com or by phoning: 1-800-626-8992.

How often will we get our donation payouts? We will mail out donation payouts quarterly to those groups earning at least $50 per quarter.

How do I know how much money my organization has made so far? Just email us at admin@tortugacoffee.com for an update.

Can any group sign up for a Tortuga Coffee Company fundraiser? Any group can apply. However, Tortuga Coffee Company reserves the right to choose their fundraising partners through the application process. They also reserve the right to drop a group or organization at any time.
